The New Teacher ~ chapter 3
KakaSaku

The following morning Sakura got up earlier than usual. She was really looking forward to her morning jog. She kept telling herself over and over that it was only because jogging before school made her feel so much more energized and ready for the long day, but something inside her were secretly hoping that she would meet Mr. Hatake.

As she swung on to the path leading down to the lake, she blushed a little at the thought of maybe seeing him again.

She had been up for quite some time already, just thinking about their weird encounter and intimate moment the night before. She just couldn't get it out of here head and she cursed herself for thinking such about a teacher of hers.

She refused to be one of those girls that were head over heels in love with the hot substitute teacher. Hot? No he wasn't hot! He was just a simple, normal guy that taught their poetry and English class. A great teacher with much knowledge. She admired his knowledge. Yes, that was it. Nothing else.

She had already finished half the route she normally took, and still no sight of him. She felt a little sad but tried to ignore the feelings. There were just no way she were crushing on him! No freaking way!

Fifteen minutes later she found herself back in her house, taking a shower to collect her thoughts and trying to calm down. The hot water embraced her female curves and she felt both safe and utterly exposed behind the shower curtains.

"Calm down Sakura. Why get so worked up about a stupid teacher? You're not crushing on him. You're an independent woman who does not need another man to break your heart."

For years Sakura had been head over heels in love with Sasuke and tried everything to win his heart, but to no use. And about two years ago he announced that he was gay and that he and Neji were a couple.

It had tore her heart apart and she had been depressed for months before managing to lock her heart away and come back stronger than before.

She didn't need anyone else. She did fine by herself. She was the god damned Miss Independent in the group for crying out loud!

Why would she need a man? Never the less: a man fourteen years older than her? It was wrong and out of the question.

She finally got out of the haze and ran into her room to get dressed for school.

"Sorry, sorry, sorry, late for class, let me through! God dammit, you're standing in my way." She quickly made her way through the halls at school. That long morning shower made sure she became late for class and now she hurried to the classroom so that she could at least enjoy the last 30 minutes of it.

As she were about to head around the corner she bumped into a person, resulting in her falling backwards hitting her arm against the wall shouting in pain.

"Crap! Watch it old man!" She glanced up into the eyes of her new substitute teacher, the reason of her being late in the first place.

Her face went blank and her mouth almost dropped to the floor. "I'm sorry, didn't mean to shout at you.. I just.. Uhm.. Late.. You know.." She placed her hand on the floor planning to use it as support while getting up, but that didn't work out quite as planned.

"Ouch!" She muttered as she felt a lightening pain shoot through her whole arm and she collapsed on the floor again.

Kakashi looked at the pink haired girl on the floor before kneeling down to help her up. The books he had been carrying before their crash were spread all over the floor, but he didn't care about gathering them when he saw the pain she found herself in.

"I think you hit your arm." He said quietly as he helped her back up on her feet. "You think?" she sarcastically snarled at him and gave him a glare.

He simply smiled and ignored the sarcastic tone in her voice. "Let me help you to the school nurse, you can't walk around being injured, now can you?"

At one moment she forgot how angry she was at him. The only thing she noticed now was the fact that he weren't wearing his mouth-mask.

The whole time it took them to get to the nurses office, she kept staring at his mouth, couldn't get her eyes away.

"You're not wearing your mask today" her words came out gently as he helped her to sit on the examination bed inside the nursing room.

He looked at her and smiled. "Finally you noticed." He said with a happy eye-crease. She were totally taken back by his positive and lively being. Never before had she met a person like him.

"I figured that since my first day went as well as it did, I didn't really need the mask anymore. And after the talk with you yesterday I figured it was about time to leave it for good. After all I'm 34, I don't need that mask anymore."

She tilted her head to the side and opened her mouth to speak, just as the nurse entered the room and interrupted their talk.

Kakashi smiled. "Well, now that I know you're in good hands I better be going. I will notify Mrs. Yokina that you're late because of me and that you'll miss the rest of her lecture." Sakura simply nodded and gave a small yelp as the nurse pressed her fingers against a spot on her arm.

"Damn you, stop that! It hurts! What are you trying to do? Make it worse!?" she yelled at the nurse, seemingly forgetting all about Kakashi and being late for class.
He smiled and shook his head before leaving the room heading to Sakura's classroom to explain everything to her math teacher.

"Heard you had quite the adventure with Mr. Hatake!" Sakura's body went limp and she almost fell down of her chair when Ino leaned over and whispered knowingly to her.

"W-what?" Her eyes shifted to all of the faces that now gathered around her desk. "Well yea? Crashing into him and visiting the nurse together? Sure you didn't bump into him on purpose to get some alone time together?" Some of the girls giggled and Hinata blushed, feeling embarrassed on behalf of her friend.

"Ino, I'm sure Sakura wouldn't do that." She mumbled quietly staring at her feet. "Right Sakura?" Sakura nodded, then shook her head, then nodded again. "Uhm, sure.. I mean. I was late for class when I crashed into him and hit my arm on the wall. He felt sorry for me so he followed me to the nurse office."

Ino raised an eyebrow, and thankfully the door opened interrupting her words.
"Sit down class and open your books on page 46."

Last period of the day was gymnastics. Sakura kept to herself in the background trying to ignore Ino's annoying remarks and comments.

Hinata stood beside her, staring at her feet as she always did, glancing up at her friend from time to time.

It seemed like she were about to say something, but she never did, always changed her mind and kept staring down again.

"Forgive me for being late, but I just got the message. Your gymnastics teacher Mr. Yuuno has gotten the flu and I will be filling in for him today."

Her heart dropped down to her stomach and she gasped when she saw Kakashi coming out of the teachers changing room.

Ino let out a scream of joy and a high-pitched laugh winking at Sakura who blushed furiously and followed Hinata's lead and stared down at her feet.

"We're going to be outside today, orientation in the woods behind the school." Some of the students jumped up and down screaming of joy, while the rest of them muttered curse words under their breath. Sakura was one of them.

She hated orientation. Ok, it was not like she had trouble reading maps or whatever, but as soon as she had to do it at school she became a total blonde, no offense to them. But seriously.

Her sense of direction didn't seem to exist when they did these kind of things in gym class. She simply wandered around the forest, letting everyone else do the thinking and reading of maps.

They all got to choose their own groups and they had to be in a group of three. To Sakura's misfortune everyone got in a group except for her.

"Mr. Hatake why don't you and Sakura pair up? That way Sakura won't be alone, her sense of directions sucks you know." "Oh, I didn't? Well Sakura, is it ok for you to pair up with the teacher?"

She muttered a silent whatever under her breath and sighed. She received a map, compass and directions from Kakashi and followed the rest of the class.

When they got to the playground, which were to be their start- and finish-line for this orientation, Kakashi gathered the groups for a quick talk.

"I will not allow cheating. Removal of posts or hiding them in new places is not allowed. Let's be fair and give the other groups a chance of showing what they got, ok? Since Hinata is free from attending in gymnastics she will keep a score of your time. Remember. She wont write a time unless everyone from the group is present at the finish-line. Now who wants to go first? Ino? Your group can be the first to go. Hinata you're noting the time?"

Hinata nodded and stared down at her watch, waiting for Kakashi to give the sign for Ino's group to start. And as soon as everyone from the group had lined up Kakashi gave the sign and they were of.

This went on until it was only him and Sakura left. Sakura, still being upset about the fact that she was paired up with her teacher by that evil Ino, lined up and waited for those three minutes to pass so that they could just get it over with.

"Then I guess it's our turn then Miss Haruno, Hinata note the time from … now." He started jogging with Sakura following right behind him, still muttering a few words of dislike towards her chosen partner.
I know I promised this chapter weeks ago, but i haven't had the time or oportunity to write on it.
It didn't turn out the way I wanted since I was planning on making it longer and give some more KakaSaku-fluff to you readers, but then again *dramatic sigh* things never turn out the way I want, now do they?
I hope you'll enjoy this short third chapter and that you'll be patient with me until I manage to come up with the fourth chapter. Hopefully it will not take as long to finish as this one.
Now I have more of a chance to make up a good KakaSaku scene = D Love in the forest? Now wouldn't that be just wonderful? = D
***
Characters belong to Kishi-sama, I do not own them, just the idea of this story. I do not benefit or earn anything from this story, I just do it for the love of writing and the love for KakaSaku :)
